About PGDO
Peace Gate for Development Organization (PGDO) is an independent, nonpartisan, national organization based in Iraq that works towards responding to the needs of the local community while highlighting peacebuilding, social cohesion, and sustainable development. It mainly focuses on working through a wide range of networks of civil society and women-led organizations to ensure gender equity and equality as well as social justice and inclusion. PGDO was established in 2019; it currently has 10 staff members (9 local & 1 foreigner) and more than 50 volunteers that support it to accomplish its mission and achieve its vision. Since its establishment, PGDO has been committed to all humanitarian and development sectors; thus, completing diverse programs in a timely and organized manner.
