Livelihood Development and Vocational Trainings:

  • PGDO believes in the comprehensive livelihood development which includes the identification of right beneficiaries, getting them through vocational trainings based on the market needs, providing them with small grants either for the start-up of new businesses or for the expansion of ongoing business and at the end linking up with the market to ensure the sustainable livelihood through acquiring relevant technical skills.
  • more than 100 young women participated in 2-months vocational training for handicrafts. During and more than 500 IDPs families were provided with a cash assistance for enhancing their conditions in Erbil.
  • Under livelihood programs especially young girls and boys are being supported through different activities including vocational trainings and cash for work. Through this project we are aiming to reach 860 beneficiaries (200 Cash for Work and 660 for Vocational Trainings) in Telkaf and Mosul

Handicrafts Training

  • Peace Gate for Development Organization organized training session to train100 young women in handicrafts and the arts for two months providing young women an opportunity to acquire skills for this trade.
